After a brief and marginal fall in daytime and nighttime temperatures, Maharashtra is likely to experience another rise in both day and night temperatures by the end of April and early May. According to the latest Maharashtra weather update, partly cloudy skies and light rainfall over the next 48 hours may bring a slight drop in temperatures. However, this relief is expected to be short-lived, as both daytime heat and nighttime warmth are forecasted to increase again, making the days uncomfortable across the state.

In Pune district, Shivajinagar recorded a maximum temperature of 39.4 degrees Celsius, while Lohegaon continued to sizzle at a high of 41.9 degrees. Lavasa remained the most comfortable among the major locations in Pune, with a maximum temperature of 33.5 degrees.

Elsewhere in the state, Parbhani stood out with the highest temperature, officially recorded by IMD at 44.2 degrees Celsius yesterday. On the cooler side, Mahabaleshwar registered the lowest minimum temperature across Maharashtra at 20 degrees Celsius. Mumbai, meanwhile, enjoyed relatively pleasant weather conditions, recording a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees and a minimum of 26.4 degrees Celsius.

Weather experts are advising residents to brace for rising temperatures towards the month’s end, and to take necessary precautions to stay protected from the intensifying heat.

Maharashtra Weather – District Wise Forecast

⚡ Thunderstorm, Lightning, and Gusty Winds (30–40 kmph or more)

On 27th April 2025, several districts are under a Yellow Alert for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. These districts include the Ghats of Kolhapur, Kolhapur, Satara, the Ghats of Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Nanded, Latur, Dharashiv (Osmanabad), Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, and Yavatmal. Residents in these areas are advised to stay cautious of sudden thunderstorms, strong winds, and the possibility of localized damage to weak structures and crops.

🔥 Hot and Humid Conditions in Isolated Pockets

A Yellow Alert for hot and humid conditions has been issued for Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv. People in these districts may experience discomfort due to high humidity combined with heat, especially during peak daytime hours. In Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv, the hot and humid conditions are expected along with the risk of thunderstorms, making it even more important to take necessary precautions like staying hydrated and avoiding outdoor exposure.

☀️ Heatwave Conditions

Akola and Chandrapur districts are likely to experience heatwave conditions in isolated pockets. A Yellow Alert has been issued here, warning residents about significantly high temperatures. People living in these districts are strongly advised to limit outdoor activities during the afternoon hours, drink plenty of water, and watch for signs of heat-related illnesses.

🌦️ Light Rain or Thundershowers

Light rain or isolated thundershowers are expected in Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nasik, the Ghats of Nasik, Ahilyanagar, Pune, the Ghats of Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). A Yellow Alert is in place for these districts. While rainfall could bring some relief from the heat, there remains a risk of localized thunderstorms, and residents should stay alert during sudden weather changes.

🌩️ Hailstorm, Thunderstorm, and Strong Gusty Winds (50–60 kmph)

A more intense Yellow Alert has been issued for Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, and Yavatmal. These districts are likely to experience hailstorms, thunderstorms, and strong gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 50–60 kmph. The impact could include damage to crops, weak trees, and structures. Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, stay indoors during severe weather, and protect themselves and their properties from possible hail and strong winds.
