If you’re wondering whether the heavy rains will stick around, here’s the latest update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Maharashtra is expected to see a break from heavy downpours for the next 3 to 4 days. However, this doesn’t mean the skies will clear completely.

Light to moderate rain is likely in parts of the state, especially in Mumbai and Pune, where showers could continue until the end of September. For the next 4 to 5 days, moderate rain is expected in Mumbai, with occasional clouds and sunshine in Pune along with light rain at times.

The Konkan region and parts of Mumbai don’t have any major rain warnings, though cloudy weather and occasional sunshine are expected. Pune is likely to see very light or light rain from time to time over the next few days.

According to the IMD, this pattern will continue until September 11. After that, there’s a yellow alert across parts of the state for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds—but the rainfall is expected to remain moderate.

So, while you can expect some relief from heavy rains, it’s a good idea to stay prepared for showers and stormy weather, especially if you’re in Mumbai or Pune.
