Mumbai, May 27, 2025 – The Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) has issued an official clarification refuting recent media reports claiming that its helpline numbers, including 022-26592707 and the toll-free 155209, were non-functional. The Commission has confirmed that all contact numbers are fully operational during office hours (9:45 AM to 6:15 PM).

On May 27, 2025, the Commission’s counseling helpline (155209) received 20 calls from women across the state, all of which were addressed promptly. Additionally, the following numbers remain active during working hours:
