Pune, 1 December 2025: A leopard sighting near Hotel D Palace on the NDA–Pashan Road in Bavdhan has been officially confirmed by the Forest Department. The video, captured by a local resident around 12.30 am on December 1, has been verified by field teams after on-site checks.

Officials said there have been no additional sightings since the first incident. Early assessment suggests the leopard may have moved along the Ramnadi nala corridor, which connects the NDA hill region to the Mulshi belt. The surrounding hills and forest cover have always been natural leopard territory, making occasional movement into nearby urban stretches possible.

Members from RESQ Trust also confirmed the sighting. They advised residents to stay alert but avoid spreading panic. They requested that any new visuals shared by the public should be direct, clear, and verifiable.

The Forest Department has urged residents to report confirmed sightings or credible videos immediately.
