Over the past two decades, KSSL has built robust capabilities in the design and production of a wide range of artillery platforms. From short-range to long-range, mounted and towed artillery gun platforms, KSSL has carved a niche for itself by exporting ‘Made in India’ artillery and defence systems to friendly foreign nations, establishing India’s footprint in the global defence market.

In light of the strengthening Greece–India bilateral relations and the elevation of their Strategic Partnership with a particular focus on defence cooperation, KSSL is showcasing its expansive product range at DEFEA-2025, which is being held from 6th to 8th May 2025 at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens, Greece.

Product Capabilities on Display:

MArG 155

A 155mm family of mounted gun systems, available in 39 and 45 calibre variants. Developed for all-terrain manoeuvrability and mounted on a Kalyani 4×4 wheeled chassis, the MArG 155 is equipped with shoot-and-scoot capability and is compatible with both NATO standard and in-service ammunition. Weighing 21.5 tons (39 calibre) and 23.5 tons (45 calibre), the system offers unmatched mobility, firepower, and reliability.

Garuda 105

An ultra-lightweight 105 mm/37 calibre mobile gun system, mounted on a 4×4 Kalyani wheeled chassis. Designed for all-weather and all-terrain manoeuvrability, including high-altitude operations, the Garuda 105 also features shoot-and-scoot capability. It is air-portable and para-droppable, making it a versatile platform for multiple operations, including direct fire roles.

Underwater Autonomous Systems
On display are the Mine Reconnaissance Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (MRAUV), Expendable Underwater Target (EUT), and Mobile Target Emulator (MTE).

  • MRAUVs are in active service with several navies and are used extensively for underwater mine detection and classification at significant depths.
  • EUT acts as a simulated target for training anti-submarine warfare (ASW) sonar operators and for torpedo firing practice.
  • MTE is deployable from submarines and functions as a submarine decoy in ASW operations.

In addition to platforms and systems, KSSL also manufactures a range of ammunition. Initially developed for its artillery platforms, the ammunition shells are ready-to-fill and have since been expanded to include variants for unmanned systems, marine applications, and small arms. KSSL is an end-to-end provider of both medium and large calibre ammunition solutions.

KSSL invites all visitors to experience their cutting-edge defence capabilities at Hall 3, Stand No. B40 at the Metropolitan Expo, Athens International Airport (El. Venizelos).
