JSW MG Motor Cuts SUV Prices by Up to ₹3.04 Lakh After GST Reduction

If you’re planning to buy a new SUV, here’s some good news. JSW MG Motor India has announced a price drop of up to ₹3.04 lakh across its range of petrol and diesel SUVs. The move comes after the government recently reduced the GST rates on vehicles, and MG has decided to pass the full benefit directly to customers.
The price cuts apply to all their ICE (internal combustion engine) SUVs, the Gloster, Hector, and the smaller Astor. The new prices took effect from September 7, 2025, and interested buyers can start booking their preferred models right away.
Here’s how the benefit looks across the models:
- Astor: Price cut by ₹54,000
- Hector (Petrol/Diesel): Price cut by ₹1,49,000
- Gloster: Price cut by ₹3,04,000
Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, said, “The government’s move to rationalise GST directly helps car buyers. By passing on the full benefit, we want customers to experience the immediate value and feel more confident about owning an MG SUV.”
He also pointed out that with festive season demand picking up, making these SUVs more affordable and appealing is a priority. It’s not just about lower prices — the company wants to build trust and encourage more people to consider its SUVs.
With this decision, MG joins other brands like Tata Motors, Mahindra, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi in sharing GST benefits with customers.
