iPhone 17 India Price May Shock Buyers; Launch Set for September 9

While US prices are expected to stay mostly familiar, the big story might be the cost in India. Early estimates suggest the starting price for the base iPhone 17 could be around Rs. 79,990. The new iPhone 17 Air, which is replacing the Plus model, might start at Rs. 99,990. But the real shocker is for Pro users: the iPhone 17 Pro could be priced at a steep Rs. 1,24,990, with the top-tier Pro Max potentially reaching an eye-watering Rs. 1,64,990.
So, why the potential price jump? For the Pro models, it’s not all bad news. Analysts point out that the US price increase for the iPhone 17 Pro (to $1,099) comes with a welcome upgrade: 256GB of storage will now be the standard starting point, instead of 128GB. This means you’re getting more for your money, even if the upfront cost is higher.
The star of the show is expected to be the sleek iPhone 17 Air. Touted as the slimmest and lightest iPhone ever made, it aims to blend easy portability with powerful performance, justifying its position above the standard model.
