The Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India has issued an urgent appeal to all Indian citizens, warning of an imminent surge in social media content sponsored by Pakistan aimed at spreading misinformation.

According to PIB, a coordinated campaign is being orchestrated by Pakistani social media handles to disseminate false narratives, particularly those targeting the Indian Armed Forces and the ongoing national situation. The goal of these malicious efforts is to sow distrust, confusion, and panic among Indian citizens.

The public is urged to scrutinize every piece of information before believing or sharing it, especially if it involves sensitive national matters. Inaccurate or misleading content is expected to circulate widely in the coming days, and citizens must not fall prey to it.
