The rain activity is not limited to the west. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh may experience very heavy spells between August 29 and September 2.

In South India, coastal Karnataka and Kerala are expected to receive intense rainfall over the next few days. Interior Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu could also see isolated heavy showers.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh in Central and East India are forecast to get heavy rainfall on select days in the coming week. Northeast states like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura are also in for heavy to very heavy showers until September 4.

The overall outlook suggests that most parts of the country will experience light to moderate rainfall over the next week, often accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.
