In a landmark move to boost transparency and protect homebuyers, the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has revamped its project registration certificates to include comprehensive, easy-to-read details about real estate projects.

Key Changes in the New MahaRERA Certificate

The updated certificate, issued at the time of project registration, now features:
✔ Total built-up area of the project
✔ Number and names of buildings & wings
✔ Approved habitable floors
✔ Total residential & non-residential units
✔ Commencement certificate status
✔ Parking slots (four-wheelers, two-wheelers, visitors)
✔ Promoter & project details in bullet points for clarity

Why This Matters

MahaRERA Chairman Manoj Saunik stated, “This initiative empowers homebuyers by ensuring transparency in their lifetime investments. Buyers can now verify critical project details before making a purchase.”

Real-Time Updates & Mandatory Disclosures

Any future changes—such as timeline extensions, developer transfers, or corrections—will be reflected in an updated certificate. Developers must display the revised certificate at project sites and on MahaRERA’s website. Additionally, a mandatory QR code in advertisements will link directly to project details.

This revision follows MahaRERA’s other buyer-friendly measures, including:
