Pune News, June 11, 2025: In a significant move to tackle infrastructure challenges caused by natural calamities in the Hinjawadi-Maan IT Park area, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) convened a high-level meeting on Wednesday under the leadership of Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase. The meeting saw the participation of local representatives, sarpanches of Hinjawadi, Maan, and Marunji, government officials, and residents, along with authorities from various administrative departments. Immediate action plans were directed to address the following pressing issues:

  1. Waterlogging on Main Roads – Due to heavy rains, water accumulation on key roads has disrupted traffic. PMRDA has decided to deploy water-pumping vehicles from the Disaster Management Department for quick resolution.
  2. Road Maintenance & Repairs – Authorities have been instructed to repair rain-damaged roads promptly.
  3. Waste Management & Debris Clearance – Orders have been issued to remove garbage and construction debris within seven days.
  4. Action Against Illegal Constructions – Unauthorized constructions obstructing natural water streams will be demolished to prevent encroachment.
  5. Sewage Management – Strict action will be taken against companies releasing untreated wastewater in the Hinjawadi area.
  6. Traffic Planning & Streetlight Maintenance – Road planning will be optimized to ease traffic congestion, and damaged streetlights will be repaired immediately.
