According to officials, the leakage began while the tanker was moving along the highway. The driver quickly parked the vehicle on the roadside after noticing the leak. Soon after, police and local authorities rushed to the spot to manage the situation and regulate traffic.

Witnesses said that the leak, which started in small amounts, grew stronger with time, raising fears among commuters and residents. The gas spread through the air, creating an unpleasant odour and heightening the sense of danger.

Traffic flow on the busy Pune-Nashik route has been affected, though authorities are working to control the situation. So far, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the leakage is still under investigation.

This incident has once again raised questions about the safety standards of vehicles transporting compressed gas on highways. With thousands of vehicles using the Pune-Nashik Highway every day, locals have demanded stricter checks and better emergency measures to prevent such mishaps.
