Armed Drones Spotted at 26 Locations Along Pakistan Border, Civilian Injured in Ferozpur Attack

In a concerning development, drones — including suspected armed drones — were sighted at 26 locations along the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) shared with Pakistan. The Ministry of Defence confirmed these sightings late last night, urging heightened caution across affected regions.
The drones were spotted in several strategic and sensitive locations: Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet, and Lakhi Nala. These repeated sightings raise alarms over increasing cross-border threats and surveillance attempts.
Tragically, an armed drone reportedly targeted a civilian area in Ferozpur, resulting in injuries to members of a local family. Medical assistance was promptly provided, and the area has been secured and sanitised by security forces.
The Indian Armed Forces have responded with a high state of alert. All aerial threats are being actively tracked and neutralised using advanced counter-drone systems. Officials from the Ministry of Defence stated that the situation is under “close and constant watch” and that “prompt action is being taken wherever necessary.”
Citizens residing in or near border regions have been strongly advised to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary movement, and adhere strictly to safety protocols issued by local authorities. While the Ministry emphasized there is no need to panic, it reiterated the importance of vigilance and precaution during this period of elevated threat.
