One of the highlights was the Pune Metro Line 3, which is expected to significantly improve connectivity between key IT hubs and residential areas. Progress on the Pune-Nashik Greenfield Semi High-Speed Rail (SHSR) was also reviewed. This corridor is set to cut travel time between the two cities and boost regional trade and mobility.

At the coastal front, Ajit Pawar reviewed the development of Mirkarwada Port in Ratnagiri, which is being upgraded to strengthen Maharashtra’s maritime infrastructure and local economy.

In Pune, several public utility and institutional projects were discussed, including Kamgar Bhavan, Sahakar Bhavan, and Krishi Bhavan, all aimed at improving services for workers, cooperatives, and the farming community.

Tourism-focused projects also received attention. The Lonavala Sky Walk and the Tiger Point Development Plan are expected to add new attractions to the hill station, boosting its appeal for visitors.

Cultural and educational projects under review included the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Women Development Institute, designed to support women’s empowerment and research initiatives, and the Veer Lahuji Salve Vastad Memorial in Pune, which will honor the legacy of the social reformer and freedom fighter.

Ajit Pawar stressed that other ongoing infrastructure projects must also be completed quickly without unnecessary delays, ensuring that citizens benefit from them at the earliest.
