Pravaah Business Expo 2026 Pune: CGST Chief Commissioner Neeraj Kansal Highlights GST Reforms to Improve Ease of Doing Business
Neeraj Kansal, Chief Commissioner of CGST & Customs, Pune Zone, highlighted ongoing Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms aimed at improving taxpayer services and the ease of doing business while addressing entrepreneurs, startup owners and taxpayers at the inauguration of Pravaah Business Expo 2026 in Pune on October 16.
Kansal spoke about key recommendations from the 57th GST Council meeting, focusing on simplifying tax processes, speeding up refunds and reducing disruptions for businesses.
The proposed measures include automated refund processes to make refund issuance faster and simpler, rationalisation of arrest and prosecution provisions, and intelligence-based vehicle inspections to minimise disruptions to logistics while maintaining effective enforcement.
The three-day Pravaah Business Expo 2026 is being organised by Agrawal Samaj Pune under the theme “Soch Se Safalta Tak”. The event is being held from October 16 to 18 at Deccan College Ground, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune.
The expo brings together industrialists, entrepreneurs, professionals, startups and young people through exhibition stalls, keynote addresses, panel discussions, interactive workshops and networking sessions.
The programme includes business and leadership discussions such as “Leadership Legacy”, “Visionary Leaders” and “Build Big Brands to Build Bigger Profits”. The “Mahasangam Summit – 2 Gather” is designed to connect business networking groups across Pune.
The event also features public health discussions under “Arogya Samvad”, dental check-up camps through “Smile Check”, a Job Mela and career counselling sessions for young people.
The expo is open to the public, with free registration through online QR entry passes.
