SkyDome, India’s First Permanent Immersive Event Dome, Set to Open in Jaipur in October
Jaipur: SkyDome, billed as India’s first permanent immersive event dome, is set to open in Jaipur towards the end of October 2026. Located in Kukas next to ITC Mementos, the venue will have capacity for more than 5,000 guests across its indoor and outdoor spaces.
The central dome will measure 60 metres in diameter and 21 metres in height, with around 30,000 sq ft of indoor space.
One of the main features of SkyDome will be its 360-degree immersive projection system. The setup will use 17 Christie laser projectors, each rated at 50,000 lumens, allowing projections across the dome and its surroundings. The projection environment can be changed according to the theme and requirements of an event instead of relying only on fixed stages and screens.
SkyDome is being designed to host destination weddings, concerts and other live entertainment, corporate conferences, exhibitions, cultural performances, brand launches and large celebrations.
The venue is situated in Jaipur’s hospitality and destination-wedding corridor and is intended to cater to domestic as well as international clients.
According to a press release, SkyDome Director Sonalika Sengupta said Jaipur was already established as a destination for weddings and hospitality and that there was an opportunity to build infrastructure for large-scale experiences.
Fellow Director Sumit Chandhoke described SkyDome as a new canvas for events, with permanent large-format architecture combined with production-ready infrastructure.
