This will finally plug the gap between the city’s ever expanding metro network and the airport, providing a seamless connectivity to the airport from any part of the city.

The connection will be provided by building an additional line between Pune Airport and Kalyani Nagar Metro Station. Once completed, all lines of Pune Metro will get connected to the airport by using the District Court Interchange.

All existing and proposed metro lines namely, Metro Line 1 (PCMC-Swargate), Metro Line 2 (Vanaz-Ramwadi), Metro Line 3 (Maan-Hinjawadi-Shivajinagar), Metro Line 4 (Khadakwasla-Kharadi), 4A (Nal Stop-Warje-Manikbaug), 4B (Hadapsar-Loni Kalbhor) and 4C (Hadapsar-Saswad) will get connected to airport through District Court interchange, thus enabling residents to travel to the airport using metro services from any part of the city.

Citizens wanting to reach the airport can take the metro line nearest to them, arrive at the District Court Station, take the Ramwadi Metro, get off at Kalyani Nagar Metro Station and take the Airport Metro from there.

This will also decongest city’s roads and provide a comfortable, affordable and seamless connectivity to the airport.

The meeting took place at Metro Bhawan and was attended by MahaMetro’s Managing Director Shrawan Hardikar, Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Nawal Kishor Ram, MahaMetro Directors Atul Gadgil and Vinodkumar Agarwal, City Engineer Aniruddha Pawaskar, along with senior officials from Pune Municipal Corporation, corporators, local citizens, and officials.
