Pune/Hinjawadi: Two Siblings Killed, Three Injured After Company Bus Climbs Footpath In Hinjawadi IT Park
Pune, December 01, 2025: A tragic accident in Hinjawadi on Monday evening claimed the lives of two young siblings and left three others injured after a private company’s bus drove onto a footpath and hit a group of pedestrians.
The incident took place near Pancharatna Chowk around the time children were returning home from school. The victims included a 6-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister. Their younger sister was among the three seriously injured.
PTI reported that a Hinjewadi Police Station official said the bus was carrying employees when the driver lost control and climbed onto the footpath, ramming into the five pedestrians. PTI also reported that the driver was allegedly drunk and has been detained by the police.

The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police are checking CCTV footage and verifying the sequence of events. Further investigation is underway.
