Haveli was the coldest spot, with the temperature dropping to 8.6°C. Malin followed with 9.9°C. IMD officials clarified that the readings for Haveli are taken from Loni Kalbhor. Within the city, Pashan touched 10.1°C and Shivajinagar stood at 10.6°C, both well below the normal early winter range. Shivajinagar recorded a dip of 4.8°C from the usual average, while Pashan was 5.3°C lower than normal.

Not every location saw the same chill. IMD observatories in Lohegaon, Chinchwad and Lavale reported milder mornings with minimum temperatures of 15.2°C, 15.3°C and 16.4°C. Meteorologists linked the fall in temperature to the dry northwesterly winds blowing into Maharashtra over the last few days.

These winds also reduced humidity sharply, dropping it to 49% in Shivajinagar and 27% in Lohegaon. According to IMD officials, clear skies, low moisture and no cloud cover are all contributing to cooler days and chilly nights across the district.

Elsewhere in Maharashtra, Niphad in Nashik district recorded 8°C, while Gondia reported 9.6°C. Dahanu logged the highest maximum temperature at 34.2°C on Sunday.

The national forecast from IMD indicates that cold wave to severe cold wave conditions are expected over parts of Madhya Pradesh on November 17, and over isolated areas till November 19. Similar conditions may occur over isolated parts of West Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha on November 17–18, and over East Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh from November 17–19. Jharkhand is also likely to experience similar weather on November 17.

IMD expects no major change in minimum temperatures across northwest, central, east and north peninsular India for the next three days. A slight rise is expected after that.
