New International Connections

As part of the schedule, Air India Express will operate daily flights to Bangkok, while IndiGo will connect Pune to Bangkok three times a week on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. For Dubai, both SpiceJet and IndiGo will operate daily services. These routes will enhance Pune’s global access for both business and leisure travellers.

Santosh Dhoke, Managing Director of Pune Airport, said, “The new international connections will not only make travel more convenient for passengers but also boost trade, tourism, and cultural ties.”

Strong Domestic Network

On the domestic front, Pune Airport will operate flights to 34 destinations across India. These include major cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Goa, Kochi, and Varanasi. This expansion reinforces Pune’s growing importance as a central hub for regional air traffic.

Increase in Flight Operations

During the Winter Schedule 2025, airlines have been approved to operate 208 flights from Pune Airport. The number could further increase depending on aircraft availability, route optimization, and operational viability.

Surge in Air Cargo Throughput

Pune Airport has also recorded strong growth in its cargo operations. In September 2025, the airport handled 4,792.5 metric tonnes (MT) of cargo, marking a 33% increase compared to the same month in 2024. By October 26, 2025, the airport had already handled 4,040 MT, close to the total cargo handled in October 2024.

An AAI official said, “This growth shows Pune’s emergence as a key logistics hub in Western India. We are working to ensure smooth cargo movement and faster turnaround, especially during the festive season.”

The Winter Schedule 2025 highlights AAI’s ongoing efforts to improve passenger convenience, boost economic growth, and enhance Pune’s air connectivity on both domestic and international fronts.
