Tanker Catches Fire Near New Tunnel on Pune-Bengaluru Highway, No Casualties Reported

Pune, September 24, 2025: A tanker caught fire near the new tunnel on the Pune-Bengaluru highway today, sending thick smoke across the area and briefly disrupting traffic. Fire brigades from PMC and PMRDA rushed to the spot and quickly brought the blaze under control.

Thanks to the swift action, a major accident was averted. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, though the tanker was badly damaged in the fire.
