A new complimentary shuttle bus service was officially launched on Sunday, aiming to connect residents directly from Rajaram Bridge to the Nal Stop Metro Station. The bus will travel via the busy Karvenagar area, making it convenient for many commuters to hop on and off.

The initiative was spearheaded by Higher and Technical Education Minister, Mr. Chandrakant Patil, with the goal of encouraging more people to choose the metro for their daily travel. The idea is simple: remove the “first and last mile” hassle of getting to the station, and more people will use the rapid transit system.

The inauguration ceremony kicked off at 8:30 a.m. at the Nal Stop Metro Station and was met with a great deal of enthusiasm from the community. Maha Metro’s Managing Director, Mr. Shravan Hardikar, was the chief guest for the event. He was joined by other senior officials, including Director of Operations & Systems Mr. Vinodkumar Agrawal, and a large crowd of eager citizens ready to try out the new service.

This shuttle is a significant step in making Pune’s public transport network more integrated and user-friendly, offering a smooth, cost-free connection to the metro line for Kothrud residents.
