Pune Municipal Corporation Sets Up Iron Tanks for Ganesh Idol Immersion

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has made special arrangements this year to ensure safe and eco-friendly Ganesh idol immersion. To prevent pollution in rivers and lakes, the civic body has set up iron tanks at several locations across the city.
Residents can use these tanks for immersion instead of natural water bodies, helping reduce environmental damage during the festive season.
For detailed, zone-wise information on the locations of these iron tanks, PMC has shared a document that can be accessed here.
In addition, people can download the PMC Care App to easily find the nearest immersion tank. By using the ‘Near Me’ feature in the app, citizens can locate the closest facility within their area.
PMC has appealed to devotees to make use of these arrangements and join hands in making this Ganesh festival cleaner and more sustainable.
