Pune: PMRDA Begins Clearing Encroachments, Constructs Long-Awaited Hinjawadi Phase 2 to Laxmi Chowk Road
Pune News, July 03, 2025: In a major step toward improving Pune’s infrastructure, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has begun clearing encroachments and constructing the much-awaited Hinjawadi Phase 2 to Laxmi Chowk road.
This critical stretch, which had been blocked for years due to illegal encroachments, is now being developed under the supervision of PMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase, with coordinated efforts from multiple government departments.
The road, connecting Wipro Circle to Marunji Laxmi Chowk, will provide a crucial alternative route, significantly easing traffic congestion in Pune’s bustling IT corridor.
The project involves:
