Pune, India – In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the Indian Air Force (IAF) executed a swift overnight mission to airlift a liver and two kidneys from Command Hospital Pune to Army Hospital (Research & Referral) in Delhi. The mission, a joint effort between the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) and the IAF, underscores the armed forces’ commitment to “Service Beyond Self.” The seamless coordination ensured the organs were transported swiftly, preserving their viability for transplantation.

Organ donations, especially in critical cases, rely heavily on rapid transportation to ensure successful transplants. The IAF’s timely intervention highlights its crucial role in medical emergencies and humanitarian missions, reinforcing its reputation for precision and service to the nation.

This noble act not only honors the donor’s sacrifice but also brings hope to patients awaiting transplants. Such efforts reflect the selflessness and dedication of India’s armed forces, proving that their service extends far beyond the battlefield.
