Jodhpur Schools and Anganwadis Closed Until Further Notice Due to Current Situation

In response to the prevailing situation, the Jodhpur district administration has announced an immediate holiday for all government and private schools, as well as Anganwadis and play schools across the district. The order, issued by District Collector Gaurav Agarwal, takes effect from today and will remain in force until further notice.
As per the official directive, while students have been granted leave, all teaching and non-teaching staff are required to be present at their respective institutions to carry out departmental duties. Additionally, all examinations scheduled during this period have been postponed until new instructions are issued.
The District Collector’s office has emphasized strict compliance with this order. Heads of all institutions—whether government or private—are instructed to ensure full adherence. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action in accordance with applicable rules.
The order, bearing reference number सामान्य / 2025, has been dispatched to various key education authorities, including:
- Joint Director, School Education, Jodhpur
- Chief District Education Officer, Jodhpur
- District Education Officers for both Primary and Secondary Education
- All Block Education Officers within Jodhpur district
- Heads of all government and non-government schools and Anganwadis
This proactive move aims to safeguard students amid ongoing concerns in the district, details of which are yet to be officially disclosed.
