From May 2 to May 6 (Day 1 to Day 6), nearly every district in the state is under some form of weather alert—either Yellow or Orange—due to the likelihood of thunderstorms, gusty winds, and even hailstorms in some areas.

🚨 Weather Alerts in Effect Across Maharashtra

According to the IMD, districts are under varying levels of alerts, indicating the severity and type of weather phenomenon expected.

🟡 Yellow Alert Districts

Yellow alerts signal isolated weather activity such as thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30–40 kmph) or light to moderate rainfall. The following districts are affected:

🟠 Orange Alert Districts

  • Bhandara (Day 1 & 2): Same as above
  • Gondia (Day 1): Hailstorm with winds 50–60 kmph
  • Yavatmal (Day 2): Thunderstorm with winds 50–60 kmph

🟢 Green Alert Districts (Dry or No Warning Days)

While no district remains green (no alert) for the entire period, a few experience dry weather or no warning on select days:

  • Akola: Green on May 2, 5, and 6; Yellow on May 3 and 4
  • Washim: Green on May 2, 5, and 6; Yellow on May 3 and 4
  • Buldhana: Green on May 2 and 6; Alerts on other days
  • Parbhani: Rain expected, but no official warning
