Pune: Metro Extends Service Hours Till 11 PM for Greater Commuter Convenience
Pune Metro has extended its service hours, now operating until 11 PM to better serve commuters and meet growing passenger demand. This change enhances convenience and improves connectivity across the city, ensuring a smoother travel experience for metro users.
Previously, metro services operated from 6 AM to 10 PM. With this update, trains will now run for an additional hour, and service frequency has also improved, with train intervals reduced from seven minutes to six minutes for faster and more efficient travel.
In further expansion plans, the tender process for the Swargate to Katraj extension of Pune Metro Line 1 is nearing completion, with a contractor expected to be appointed soon. Additionally, Maha Metro is working on a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a proposed new metro corridor connecting Muktai Chowk, Wakad, Nashik Phata, and Chakan, aiming to expand the city’s metro network.
To enhance passenger engagement, Maha Metro has introduced an online portal where commuters can submit complaints, provide suggestions, and share feedback. QR codes have been placed at all metro stations for easy access to the portal.
Enjoy faster, smoother, and more efficient metro services as Pune Metro continues to evolve for a better travel experience!
